Dear Neighbor –

It is my greatest honor to serve you. From large-scale infrastructure upgrades, to the construction of hundreds of units of affordable housing, to major increases in city-sponsored community events for all who live, work, and visit Belmont, I am pleased to report that many of my goals have been accomplished, while others are in progress and have already started showing results.

Public safety remains a high priority. I serve as Chair of the San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department Board, and we remain committed to ensuring rapid response times and preparedness for all of Belmont. Elsewhere, I have worked to make our streets and sidewalks safer, including by repaving Ralston Avenue and installing protected left turns on Old County Road. As the threat of climate change continues, I have worked to further climate action goals, and in 2023, we completed a rehabilitation of Belmont’s storm and sanitation infrastructure.

As your Mayor, I remain committed to preserving and enhancing all that makes Belmont special, which includes maintaining our amazing parks, trails and open spaces and ensure safety for hikers and all users. At my request, the council appointed a City Historian to explore and record our city’s change over time, from indigenous prehistory to present, while exploring how we can celebrate our shared past. And, in addition to the Parks and Open Space Master Plan we recently completed, we continue to protect all the beautiful open space that so defines our city.

These are just a few of the accomplishments I am proud of as your Mayor. Working as a team with you, our community, has been the key to getting things done effectively. A more comprehensive list can be found on my Priorities and Accomplishments page. I am honored to have your continued support!
